Today, Sunday the 31st, Murder in the Pearl District is free on Amazon. Here’s the link: getBook.at/Pearl. If you have any problems with the link you can go to Amazon.com and simply type in the name of the book. It’s one of my favorites and is about a famous chef who is murdered the eve before her television debut. As always, there are plenty of suspects. This is a Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery, so you’ll meet old friends Kelly and her dog, Rebel, as they search for the killer in the charming Pearl District of Portland, Oregon. Enjoy!
As you may have noticed by now, I always have my latest published book released for $.99 until the next one comes out. Murder in Cuba will be available at that price for just a few more days, and then it will go up to $2.99, so you might want to get it now. Here’s the link: getBook.at/Cuba or, as above, just go to Amazon and type in the title. Incidentally, it’s been a runaway best seller almost from the moment it was published. It’s been the #1 hot new release in cozy culinary, crafts and hobbies, animal, fishing and #1 in all of those categories during that time. Evidently there’s a lot of interest in Cuba or maybe it’s Cayo the cat! I certainly have received email from a number of people who want to see Cayo again in one of my books.
Have a wonderful week and thanks for taking the time to read this!
This week’s free book is Murder and Brandy Boy. It’s the second book in the Liz Lucas Cozy Mystery Series. You can get it today, Sunday, January 24th, for free. Just go to getBook.at/BrandyBoy. Liz and her trusty dog, Winston, solve the crime, but who would have thought Brandy Boy, the lovable but lazy St. Bernard who’s the mascot of the Red Cedar Spa, would become a nationally recognized hero? Enjoy!
I expect my newest book, The Blue Butterfly, to be published this week. I’ll let you know when it’s available. Several more books will be out within the next few months: DoggieLove, A Book to Die For, and one I’m just getting started on about a murder at the Coachella Music Festival outside of Palm Springs, California. What’s not to like about music and food trucks? And of course dogs! Stay tuned.
Lastly, I hope this winter weather finds you warm and comfortable. Here in Sunny California we have yet to see the highly touted El Nino, and we need the rain! Happy Sunday!
As a thank you for being a loyal reader, today you can get the ebook, Murder & the Secret Cave, a bestseller in the High Desert Cozy Mystery Series, for free. Here’s the link: getBook.atCave. If you have any problems with it, just go to Amazon and type in the title. It will take you to the page and remember, today it’s free!
I’m also excited to tell you about my latest book which will be published in the next two weeks, The Blue Butterfly. Here’s a little bit about it:
When the Lotis Blue butterfly, an endangered species, is sighted in a forest where logging operations are being conducted, it sets off a chain reaction in the small town of Red Cedar, California. David Sanders, a Forest Service employee and the step-brother of the popular owner of Gertie’s Diner, is found murdered after he entered the forest to look for the blue butterfly. But who killed him?
There are plenty of suspects, and what’s the motive? Was it the Jefferson Lumber Company employee who developed cancer from the improper use of formaldehyde at the company’s plywood plant? Or George Myers, the jealous husband of Ruby, David’s former lover, who has anger issues? Ruby could also be considered a suspect. And what about the Environmental Studies teaching assistant? Or the Forest Service employee who’s fanatic about saving the environment. Or even Gertie?
Join Liz Lucas and her boxer guard dog, Winston, as she helps the incompetent, bumbling chief of police search for the murderer before he makes a mistake and arrests her friend Gertie. As always, there are dogs, good food and recipes!

I have to share exciting news about my newest book. It’s only been out a week and it’s #1 in hot new releases for cozy mystery culinary, crafts, animal and well as #1 in cozy overall hot new releases. It’s #1 in fishing books and #1 hot new release. Woohoo! Guess there’s a lot of interest in Cuba, and I sure am doing a Happy Dance! I have the introductory price at $.99, and I plan on leaving it at that price for a couple more weeks. Enjoy and have a wonderful week!
Woohoo! The book I wrote when I returned from Cuba is now live as an ebook on Amazon. (I actually wrote it while my husband was fishing and not being a fisherperson, preferred to write the book and look out at the Caribbean Sea. I wrote a couple of blogs about my time in Cuba. This book expands what happens on a remote Cuban island where fly fishing reigns supreme, but with Cuba expected to be open to Americans who want to travel there, greed is always kind!
I expect the print copy to be available in a couple of days. I’ve approved it. Murder in Cuba. Here’s the link and some information: getBook.at/Cuba, plus for a limited time it’s only $.99! Enjoy!
And here’s a synopsis of it:
Cuba – a land of classic cars, beautiful beaches, salsa music, and the best cigars in the world. As diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States starts to improve, everyone wants a piece of the action. When Mike’s friend, Jack Trout, asks Kelly and Mike to join his wife and him on an exploratory trip to a Cuban island, it’s an invitation they can’t resist. Mike’s dream of fly fishing the saltwater flats on the exotic island is quickly replaced when he’s asked by the local constable to help solve the murder of a British fly fishing guide, Dudley Samms. Jack becomes a suspect and his wife, Carola, asks Kelly to help solve the crime.
Plenty of quirky characters have reasons to wish Dudley dead, but who killed him? The Englishman who is the head of one of the largest international banks in the world? The American with no visible means of support, but who has plenty of money to fish all around the world? The victim’s wife? One of the Cuban fishing guides? Or was it Jack?
This is the eighth book in the Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Series.
Just a reminder that all of my cozy mysteries in ebook form are still on sale for $.99 and will be through January 3rd. Additionally, tomorrow, Sunday, January 3rd, Murder at the Bed and Breakfast will be free as an ebook. Go to getBookat/B to get your copy. And lastly, Happy New Year!
